What do you when things aren't looking like you want?

I started galaxy shoes and, of course, they didn't look like the tutorial. I persevered but I felt like giving up. I think I kind of like how the first shoe turned out. Working on the second shoe now. Sometimes I embrace it, sometimes I get frustrated and come back to it later, and sometimes I quit. For me, it depends on my mood, which is known to change very often sometimes :-P I always get in my mind how things should look. It can be hard to let go of that. So how do you cope? Here's a pic of my shoe (excuse the mess):

Cute shoes. It looks great! I have this thing that my husband and son tease me about all of the time where I can picture things in my mind and they will come out exactly as I picture them. It drives them crazy because I can see something in my mind and try to describe it to them, but they don't/can't see it. I do it with all things like crafts to décor. We have a great room where our kitchen and living room are one large room only divided by a counter. Several years ago, we were going to repaint and I pictured the kitchen being done in an orange with a darker orange sponged over it to go with our black granite counters and sink. The living room I pictured being a bright yellow with a darker more subtle yellow sponged on it. My husband wasn't sure about the two different colors in each room especially the orange and I told him to trust me he' love it. To this day, he admits he loves it and I was right. I don't have much of a problem with things not looking like I want them. It's just something that I can do. Lol

@peg-r Thanks. I added more stars. I'm going to post my pics soon. I wore them today and my therapist loved them. Your living room/kitchen sounds awesome. I love bright colors. I have lived in apartments so I've never bothered to paint. My mom has a similar layout but left everything white because she says painting is a pain in the ass and she doesn't want to pay anyone. So she decorates with pictures and other decorations. Her house is pretty. My apartment looks like a bomb went off. Lol. I'm hoping the next one will look better.
