Inspiration

What inspires you, or helps with your creative juices of awesome?

Do you listen to a song to get into the "mood" Happy or maybe put on a movie, or even clothing. Anything in particular that helps you get inspired?


FOR ME! Its any OTEP song, not really because of the song, but because I know the background of the band, and they are very artsy fartsy. Otep actually means creative in some language, and is a anagram of Poet. So they always get me in the arts and crafts mood

It's really weird actually.
Lately, I've been getting inspired by other people's designs. When I see something really cool that someone else has made, I can't help, but think about what I could do differently.
It's been working out really nicely actually.

Umm certain music, definately. Normally the Dresden Dolls =P reading the Active Resistance To Propoganda or a book which interests me. Sometimes just consciously changing my mindset so thatg I see materials in a different way does it =)

And yea, I know what you mean Kat. I'm also on deviantart.com and there was this picture by one of my favorite artists, and it inspired me to draw something... basically it, but different, and more me, and me drawing that has inspired even more Happy

Oh yeah, a while ago I was really in love with this beautiful hippy girl at my college, and I would constantly draw pictures of her. That happens quite a lot; I'm never driven to draw men, but whenever I fall for a girl I just have to draw her. Also helped that Kathryn is an amazing artist, so I tried out her style - it was fun =)
