Hello : )

Hello, I'm new to this site and am stumbling my way through : ) The thing that attracted me to this site was a post that someone made showing a pattern for a poncho. I can't find it again. However, I did make the poncho (the little girl's version) and it turned out perfectly. I was hoping to now find a pattern for a boys vest, knitted from top down. I don't remember the member's name that posted the pattern, so maybe if she doesn't see this, someone else can help me out.

Julie

I haven't seen any projects like that, and I'm not a great knitter myself but I do love to use a site called ravelry.com it's all about patterns for knitting and crochet. It's free to sign up, and you can search patterns to buy or ones that are free along with difficulty and sizes. If no one here can help you out with the vest pattern, I'd check out ravelry Happy

Do a quick search here. There are plenty of tutorials floating around here that might help. Good luck and welcome to CO+K. Happy

Hi Monika, thanks for the suggestion but I don't know how to do a "quick search". I did go through all the knitting projects last night, at least I think I did, but I'm not sure of what I'm doing : ) I clicked on "projects" and "knitting" and didn't find what I needed there. But I don't know if I'm "searching" correctly or not.

Thanks, Pamela! I'll give ravelry.com a try.

Ah, you did it right then. But you can always type in keywords in the search bar of the projects page to get different results... maybe find something more specific that way.
