Sometimes something happens to you and you just want to show off! Maybe you are proud of an accomplishment?
Why don't we use this post to brag about good times in our life
my etsy shop is in a treasury i hope i will be on the front page someday!
congrats on the etsy thing!
lets see. I really like my comics, perhaps i'll photocopy it for this board.
YAY for comics!I want to see!
And congrats on the treasury Heather! You make awesome stuff and the candy corns are so cute!
Well,I dont have much to brag about,Im really happy that Im going to a craft fair tomorrow and I hope I will sell at least one or two items!
Also Im really proud that some people are starting to notice my work and I got some requests to make earrings and a wet felted bag.
Yay congrats on the etsy treasury Heather!
Violetta after you sell loads of stuff at the craft fair you'll be able to brag about that=)
Great idea for a thread!
My writing seems to be going okay =) I've done a few things for Snippets now and Cat is still asking me to do more, so obviously my aspirations to become a journalist aren't totally unfounded!
Well done on the etsy shop Heather. Also it's always nice when someone recognises your work so good on you V!!
At the moment, my bragging thing is just that I'm getting better at some crafts. When I joined I knew nothing, only cross stitching and basic hand sewing.
Now I know how to thread a sewing machine and how to do basic stitches on that, as well as being able to rivet/eyelet stuff and how to fabric painting and stencil making!! I've still got a long way to go though
My brag post isn't half as good yours! Congrats Heather, Violetta, and Knittin' Kitten! I'm with you on that point Lolly (I have a long way to go too) but it doesn't matter how much you do or do not know the thing that matters is the fact that you are trying to get better - from the sounds of things you have a well rounded set of skills
My brag is that I managed to make some beaded spiders that I'm really proud of (I had a hard time with wrapping the wire and making things look pretty)and I'm giving them to my friends (for no good reason other than a little surprise). But the real pride comes from the fact that I wrapped them all cute in matching paper an everything. (If you knew me you would know that I'm the least frilly person on the planet. Cute "girly" stuff is not what I gravitate to, so wrapping gifts in silver/colour paper is a big step) hahaha But I also strung them on white thread to look like a web and made identical "stands" in their favorite colours that the spiders hang from. I've been done them for a few days and they're sitting on my table all cute and ready to go and I can't wait! ^^
Oh! I'm also proud of the sugar skull I made. I think it's really pretty and I like looking at it. hahaha
I now work at a newspaper as their graphic artist
Aren't you glad you got fired!!?? Congratulations!
My brag is still about my hummingbird. I simply cannot believe I pulled that pattern out of my butt! (Not literally, of course) lol
I was getting closer to the deadline for it to be finished, and I was stressing and about to cry. Then, I just drew it out without even TRYING and it just worked perfectly. It's like, the gods of felt came down and graced me with their knowledge. The whole time it was coming together I was like:
It's working, it's working...thank you Lord! Thank you Lord! It's working, look how pretty! It's working! THANK YOU LORD!!
Lol. It was commissioned by an old friend from high school and I was soooo afraid it would look silly and she'd think I was dumb. Haha!
Now I've got an order for 2 more! And orders just keep piling up! I'll make enough to pay for that traffic ticket AND a pack of diapers!
Whew, sorry. I'm lame. ;) I was just so worried I wouldn't be able to do it and would have to admit my failure to her. Before this site, I shuddered to think someone would see something I'd made and would think it looked like trash. HAHA!
Thank you CO+K and all the members who <3 my stuff FOR GIVING ME CONFIDENCE!!
ok, brag/rant over!
My new photography business!
I'm going to brag that I have lost 6lb in two weeks joining my local slimming group and I feel like I'm getting myself back one lb at a time!
Whoohoo! You're actually getting RID of yourself...one lb at a time! Just cause they're extra pounds don't mean they're not a part of the beautiful you!
But congratulations on slimming down! Feels good, huh?!!
Well done to everyone
Minnie B: Well done in losing weight. I'm a big girl and can appreciate how difficult it is for someone like me, let alone someone that just wants to tone down. But like Dessah said, you're still a beautiful person
Dessah: You should be proud of your Hummingbird, you should be proud of anything you made. Like I said, I might have only made small achievements but I am so proud of them because I have learnt new things and it's actually changing me into a new person. I know it sounds nuts but since I did my Newbie Swap I've gained soooo much confidence in my crafting skills in general. So go you!!
Abbie: Congratulations on successfully launching your new photography business. It might seem tough and stressful but it sounds like you will have some good times ahead of you
Michelle: I'm so proud of you, I remember how much you were struggling ages ago to get some work in the field of your desire so I'm so pleased that it has finally worked out for you. I bet you're very glad that you got fired from that other job now huh?! Even if the circumstances were out of order.
Lo: Well done of being able to make your beaded spider, like you said to me, slowly and surely we are bettering ourselves and being able to make something is one step towards getting better. Well done you
