Hand-Sewing Question!

Hey, everyone! I'm back to plushie obsession only this time I'm making them for my shop..in the past I had always sewn them with some strange stitch that I'm sure has an actual name but I certainly don't know it and when I'd turn my plushies right-side out the stitches always showed and it didn't look so pretty..so, my question is, what is the best stitch to use for felt that when I turn them right-side out the stitches won't show..I really want it to look as close to machine sewn as possible..geez, I can't wait to buy a machine and take a class..no machine = no bueno.

Oh! & from what I've researched myself it looks like the back-stitch is the best go? But any other advice or tips for back-stitching are greatly needed!

Anyways, thanks in advance!

Yeah, the back stitch or small straight stitch is best.
