I'd just like to know what sort of camera to get and how to use some of the functions on these fancy cameras

hmm...tough one. Money doesn't mean everything, and neither does megapixels!

I haven't tested every camera out there, but if you want more professional-looking photos, SLR's really do offer the best control and features. I will be writing some tutorials on how to understand things like exposure etc but it takes time! I also plan to get a wee compact camera at some point, just to show you don't need a super-crazy one to take decent photos.

It really depends on what your budget is, and what type of photography you want!

I really don't know a thing about masks, so I'd love to see a straight forward how-to that explains them.

You're first one was fab by the way Happy

yeah, tutorials on exposure and the like would be good. Maybe you could have one on what to look out for when buying a camera,

for SLR's, Nikons and Canons are industry standard. Canons are great for colour and Nikons are renound for their lenses.

I use a Pentax D110.
