Clay Glazes?

I'm hoping to make some gifts out of air-dry and polymer clay for some friends... I want to make polymer clay beads for one and some air-dry clay pens for another.

All of my friends have extremely sensitive skin like I do, so I'm hoping to find something that's skin-safe and non-toxic. I don't care how much it is because I'm hoping to make things that will last for a really long time.

I've tried doing Google searches on Sculpey glazes and Diamond Glaze but can't find much relevant info as to whether they're skin safe or not. I need something that's really durable and dries hard. I do NOT want to use clear nail polish because I know it chips off easily.

Any suggestions?

im a little bit of a self proclamed expert ( im writing a book on sculpy ) sculpy has a clear glaze for their clay but i have always thougt it was to thick and glossy for my work, i have always used clear spray acrilic or even nail cleat coat for that kind of stuff.

Acrylic is a no-go. It's a rashmaker for me and my friends.

I might use a clear spray paint for the air-dry clay pens since they won't be next to sensitive skin. I'll have to try the Sculpey glaze for the beads and such.

Good thing I have a long weekend ahead for Thanksgiving so I can go to the craft stores and see what they have available.

Yah I'll try to get the name of the stuff I used for the gauges

That would be great, especially since the friend I want to make beads for is the kind of person who sleeps with bracelets on, lol. And I know. What you used on the gauges is good enough that I can sleep with mine in.
