I've knitted a scarf for my mother. It was my first attempt at knitting but it turned out pretty okay Happy
And I'm going to paint a miniature wooden birdhouse for my father.

I'm looking into making a throw sized quilt for my father using photos on fabric- the photos were taken at a family reunion back in August. I've started making a memory pillow for my mother using a crazy patch technique with a photo of my grandparents. I'm looking for beading ideas to make a necklace/bracelet set for my daughter using some tiger-eye beads I bought on clearance several months ago. I also want to make her a skirt using t-shirts that she has outgrown. We saw some at a music festival in July that she really liked and I told her I'd make her one. Found this site by looking for pattern ideas! Have to get busy.

I'm making christmas stockings for my 3 best friends, I'm filling them up with sweets and a sewing kit for one, an eye mask and knitting kit for another and a rag-doll for the 3rd.

My hubby is getting a decorated whiskey glass, possibly a cover for his iphone and I may buy him a new lunch box (his is disgusting!!)

Decorations out of clay for aunts and uncles I don't see (except at christmas - of course)

Embroidered hankies for the grandads, a tea pot and homemade cosy for my nan.

My sisters in law both get a homemade purple velvet drawstring bag, which I've cross-stitched there names onto aida so need to attach to the drawstring. I am going to make trinklet boxes out of polymer clay and pop them inside. My hubby gets to decide what to buy for his brothers and nephews.

My dad has been bought a Tommy Cooper DVD, I don't get the humour but he loves im!

My brother has been bought a couple of long sleeved tops from JoeBrowns and my sister will be bought a bottle of sparkling vodka from firebox.com.

Don't know what to get my mum but I was considering a posh pair of slippers. Any ideas?

I want to buy a cheap copy of pride, prejudice and zombies for one friend at work and need to decide on something homemade for the other friends at work. Does anyone know where to get some old cake tins/sweet tins from?

Are there REALLY only 6 weeks left until Christmas?? WHAAAAAAAAT?

Anyway... as promised, here I am, November first. :-P

I "luckily" only have Shlomi to worry about, I think, but I might do something for his parents as well. He loves accessorizing with belts and ties, and only has one tie, so I'm actually buying him presents (belts and ties) this year. I don't know about a "big" or "main" present, though. (Do you all do that too? One "big" present among the rest? It's a tradition in my family, at least.) Any ideas? I also know I'll probably end up making him something, but I want it to be relatively simple, as I'm still trying to fix something I made for his bday!

I also have no idea what to give his parents--they are Jewish, but I would like to include them. Happy

Ideas??

oooh something else to add to my list. I'm in the process of making a french memo board, pretty easy and will look ace when it's finished! (also the only thing i needed to buy was the cork notice board-which was only £1!)

Calendar girl: maybe make them a boyish apron for when they're doing messy stuff like painting or something?

claire, my mum wants me to make her a french memo board too, where did you get the cork board? thats so cheap!

Since my last post, ive taken a plain tote bag (99p at hobbycraft), stencil painted a panda face onto it, and then sewn on buttons on the eyes and a box onto the hair.
ive also made a simple necklace for the same person. i bought the black chain at hobbycraft yesterday for £1.50 a metre, and bought the charm (on an ugly chain) in a charity shop for 99p i think, and already had the lobster clamp and jump rings.

i wish i had a hobby craft near me Happy ive wanted plain tote bags for ages!!

I'm making food to take (1st Xmas with the new in-laws...well, I've known them for 10 years but it's the first Xmas where's it's 'official'): mince pies, polenta and marmite bites, cake pops, flavoured vodka.

I'm going to make some fimo covers for pens and mirrors for my friends as stocking fillers. I'm also probably going to paint some glasses in an Xmassy way and wrap them with a bottle of wine for my mum and sisters.

Oh yeah- noting the UK-based 'cheap stuff' posts...

My top tips are:
Brighton 99p stores (and I guess other large branches): they do BIG bags of mixed sequins in a colour theme for 99p. All you need to do is sort them. Or, if you're me, sprinkle them randomly over every surface at Xmas, your wedding etc' as table confetti!
'The Range'/'Dunelm Mill'- silk flowers and so forth from a pound or 2 each.
'Wilkinsons'- thinks like cheap corkboard etc'.

I have to use the above places because sadly I have an addiction to Hobbycraft- I'll go in there for a tub of mod-podge and some tissue paper and come out with 40 flowers, enough decals for 10 whole scapbooks, a full set of oil paints etc' etc'. I just can't help myself and it was getting beyond a joke (for me and my credit card LOL).

For my christmas i'm not really making much cause im lacking home made ideas for a lot of people, but i am making about 4 people homemade gifts ^^

So my Bf is getting a custome drafted hand sewed red and black dragon plushie ( i plan on it being the size of our dog, shes a beagle)
My aunts getting a handsewed set of felt coasters that are snowman themed, she collects anything snowman.
Then my BF's mother is getting a set of etched wine glasses, and i dont know if my Bf's brother and wife will get a set too, or something else.

well...I've got a few ideas swimming around in my head:
for everyone's stockings - match book calendars, and moleskin inspired notebooks
a mini greenhouse for my mom and dad to have an herb garden in their kitchen
a terrarium for my grandpa (already posted http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/mossy-terrariums)
an apron for my friend who is starting a bakery
a chalkboard/magnetic message board for my mom in law
a "10 things i love about you" book for my hunny
and cookies for all!
I'll be posting all of the finished products on here when I get to them and also on my blog endlesslyinspiredonline.blogspot.com
