Craft Studios

Has anyone heard of these? I saw an episode of Threadbangers, i think, where one of the guests mentioned something like this, where you go and can take classes, use equipment, and just hang out and make things and be creative. I googled it, and the ones that I saw were either for very young children or college-age. What do you guys think?

Where are you based Audrey? I know of the MakeLounge in London and there is another one in Bath I will need to try and find the name of for you! They look pretty cool, but I've never been to one...yet! x

I had never actually heard of these myself but it does sound like a pretty awesome idea, I might be more inspiried to actually carry out crafts if I'm physically surrounded by like-minded people. I'd love to start one up locally!!

I'm based out of Cali for the moment, Secret Squirrel, and Lolly Bot, i think thats the idea behind it, to share and create. I've been brainstorming with my brother and a few of my friends, and everyone seems to think it'd be a great idea. I would love to start my own... and who knows? Maybe i will! =]

I've never been to one before though. I would love to start one! I don't think there are enough craft-y people around my area to make it work though, maybe something to start in the future! Its a good idea
