Dressforms for unusual shapes

Hi guys, been a while since I've been on here!

I've been wanting a dressform for ages and my partner finally said he'd buy me one, but none of the conventional ones seem to go in my size. I'm 106cm bust and hips and 68cm in the waist - even adjustable dressforms don't tend to have this kind of disparity. Can anyone help?

Make one that is to your size, there are several tutorials on here and even more outside of co+k.

And be sure to post it afterward no matter what method you use.

If you are dead set on buying one you could probably make something to fill out the bust to your size as well.

You can buy a conventional dressform that fits the smallest part of you and pad the other areas to fit your measurments. Or make your own using an old t-shirt, duct tape and expandable foam.

I made one with duct tape when I first started sewing which was basic but did the job. Put a t-shirt on, get a friend to wrap you in lots and lots of duct tape until it becomes solid, then cut the t-shirt up the back, stuff it with stuffing and then tape the opening closed!

I wish I'd made a tutorial at the time but I recently discovered amazing purple duct tape at Hobby Craft so maybe I'll make a new one with that. Ruler

I had the same problem. I bought an adjustable dress form that was close in most measurements then I added foam to fill out the rest. The dress form looks a bit silly but it has been very effective.
