short hair

So i used to have a mohawk and i loved it but then i started growing my hair. I began to have a mullet so i had to get the middle part cut to match the sides. I now have a long pixie type cut. Honestly, i really hate it. I know it looks good but i dont feel feminine at all...i really do hate it deep down. I want to get extensions but im afraid of what people would think because all my friends like my hair short plus extensions are expensive and i dont know if it'd be worth it. Has anyone else had this problem?

I get bored with my hair a lot and cut it off. There have been a few times where the cut wasn't really what I wanted and I hated it and once where it was what I wanted but I didn't feel feminine with it short. So I know where you are coming from. I suggest not putting in extensions as it will weaken your hair and make it brittle. You need to keep your hair healthy if you want it to grow out quickly so get it trimmed every 6 weeks. That will also help with you appearing to go through an awkward grow out stage. It really won't take long at all before you'll be able to wear it in a cute bob and start to feel more feminine.

Ok thanks...im just afraid of getting it cut so I'm not going to for a while even though i should. I also hate bob haircuts so I'm gonna have issues for a while.

It took me 3 months of searching to find a haircut I liked enough to finally get last week.
There are a lot of great sites that help you find awesome hair styles.

edgyhaircuts.com is a good one.

I had short, layered hair in the back with long sections in the front back in high school... I liked it but it was a lot of up keep. It took a long time to grow it out and when I finally did I went to get it layers put in and the woman BUTCHERED my hair. Instead of layering she cut my hair almost two different lengths and I had to cut it so short to even it out again. PinkWeed's advice is best: keep it cut clean and healthy until it grows to the length you want.

Emmyann, sorry to hear that. I feel like everyone has an experience with a stylist like that.
Monika, ill look into it. Maybe i can get it styled so i like it more.

you can always try a wig for a change. tho good wigs (mostly human hair or really high quality fiber) are expensive! So yes, keeping your hair in a good condition will be cheaper in the end.
