About

I love doing most things crafty, I have done scrapbooking for more than 10 years now, and card making for much longer than that. My passion for embroidery really only came after my mother passed away 10 years ago. I inherited some of her embroidery stuff (my sister got the other half) and so this got me started more enthusasticly. I started going to an embroidery workshop each Friday at Sunlit Blooms in Townsville, Australia, and so the say the rest is history. We have been here in the UK for the past 2 1/2 years now, and I enrolled into a stumpwork one day class at the Royal School of Needlework. I then was introduced to my tutor, Kate Sinston, and we became friends, she invited me along to her project for making new vestments for St Pauls Cathedral. So I volunteered and have done so for the last 18 months now. It just opened up several doors for me, and since doing a few courses with the Embriderers Guild, I now what to get as much experience and hints and tips as I can so that when we eventually go back home, I can pass on these skills to my friends back home.
I have had two articles published on my time at St Pauls, and I am very proud to have been involved in this project.
