Rebecca Skeels is postgraduate subject leader in the School of Craft and Design at UCA based in Farnham. She teaches students on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, sharing her considerable knowledge and expertise through collaboration and various types of projects.

Rebecca contributes to art and craft professions throughout the country as a member of the Board of Directors for the Association for Contemporary Jewellery (ACJ), which includes some of the UK’s leading jewellers and theorists. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the New Ashgate Gallery, where she helps to organise events such as the Rising Stars touring exhibition that promotes the commissioning of new work. As a member of the executive committee for the Hand Engravers Association, she is able to encourage new makers to learn traditional hand engraving skills.

Rebecca is the sole proprietor of SKEELS, a jewellery and product design company working on commissions and collections ranging from handmade cufflinks and furniture to public art installations. Her work is exhibited and sold through galleries, shops and exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
