No matter who offers it to you: DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID!!!!
I don't know where I am from: I was born in Pekin, Illinois, raised in Decatur, Illinois and moved to Sarasota, Florida at the age of 17. I married an Army officer, so I have lived all over the place -- North Carolina, Montana, Missouri, Florida, Georgia, California -- in short, I don't know WHERE my "Hometown" is -- hell, half the time, I don't know where my husband is.... However, I consider Florida (the whole friggin' state) my home. I love the beach, Ybor City, but frankly it's because Florida is the headquarters for Publix.
A near-death experience in 2001 nearly KO'ed me (the technical term was a ventricular septal defect with a pulmonary aneurysm -- a birth defect gone awry. Hey, I said I was tired!) so now I hang-out at home.
Michael and I have been married for over 19 years. He is simply the best. I share an unapologetic, co-dependent relationship with my cats, Patsy Stone, Eddy Monsoon, Arturo Fuente and Lew Rothman. I enjoy scrapbooking, cardmaking, painting, altered art, mixed media, beer and eating cookies (but not necessarily together). I am a voracious reader. Stand back: I can also breathe fire.
