Plushie pattern- HELP!

I'm making a plush for my friend and I can't seem to figure out a pattern for the head.

It's going to be a Frankenstein plush and I can't figure out the way to shape it and keep a flat top.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

This is a post made for me ^>^

I know what shapes exactly, i dont have a 'patttern' but I can explain it. Imagine the head like an oval, okay? and take a bout 1/3 of the oval off the top. (you want two of theese) then your going to make a skinny oval, and that goes to become the top. For the bottom trim it about 1/6 and make an oval to fit that, and thats the 'neck, chin'. I'll like... draw it out if you need more help. ^>^

I think it makes sense. Does it look anything like this?

I've never really gotten that hang of pattern making. :/

I guess I should have also added I'm trying to go for more of a 3D look instead of the flat 2 sided head. I hope that makes sense. Like a ball but with a flat top. I know I need to make some darts I just can't figure out exactly where to place them and what-not.

you could try to think of it as a cylinder. Cut the material into a rectangular shape and a circle. I don't know if that made any sense. .____.

i think what shirls says makes sense, use a circle(ish) for the top of the head, then cover it with the hair.
try imagining making it round, then cutting the top off
or a square-ish head
