There are no jobs...anywhere!

So I need to find a job and I've phoned all the pet shops all the supermarkets and nothing although two told me to phone back tomorrow morning and next week when the managers are in. A friend has told me that phoning gives off the wrong impression and they'll say they don't have a job straight away if you phone which is fucking ridiculous since I don't have to money to go to all these places on several buses.

What if you were to go to the two that said to phone back? Ask if they have a job position available...or possibly look online for jobs in your area?

looking online always finds me things that arent even in the area and are always management or high up jobs that I'm not qualified to do. I think I'll go back to the job centre and use their computers since they had loads of stuff i could do. My friend went to the job centre and went and saw someone instead of just using the computers and they said they couldnt do anything because she wasn't on the dole!!

I'm trying to find a job too and it's really hard to find a job that I can do. Everywhere seems to be looking for managers! Dammit, why can't they just take a ton of us unqualified, lazy students =(

I'm not a student anymore. I need to get some expeirience in an animal related job the most because the vet my friend knows took on someone with experience over me and someone else without experience.

Oooo.....good luck with that. It's difficult sometimes starting fresh with stuff. I wish I could be more helpful! grrr!

aaaw thanks KT, you know the only thing that pees me off the most about it is the fact that I've done everything 'right' up till now, gone to college and stuff and yet a friend of mine left school with 2 gcses and yet she's a qualified nursery nurse and I'm stuck now. I've kept quite positive over the last few days so maybe it will just make good karma or something and something will come up soon. I'm going to volenteer with animal shelters for the time being.

Well I think the good thing, is that now you are focused on doing what you want Happy

mm well I'm getting a bit worried that I might change my mind again once I find an apprenticeship but I doubt it I think I lost interest in art because it doesn't help anyone else in a really big way and it won't earn me much money even though it's fun being creative. I've never been focused on money whenever I've said I want to do such a thing but a regular income, some stability is something I need in my life. I think this is definatly what I want to do now and it doesn't really matter if it's not because I'll just do whatever it takes whatever I want to do Happy
