Well.. My mom still does my laundry and puts the matching socks together. My friend just puts her socks in a drawer and grabs 2 every day. So she never has matching socks.

Whenever I was growing up, my mom would make me play the sock game with her. We'd sit there after doing tons of laundry. I thought it was boring, but now I find myself always matching socks before I put all the clean clothes away.

Sometimes I'll wear mismatched socks if I've been lazy about washing clothes, but usually they're all matched.

i try to never wear matching socks. they all get bundled into my drawer and i sort through which ones i might wear. mom my used to love that she didn't have to fold them (or she'd mismatch them and fold them) when i lived at home and now she buys me a bundle of socks for easter each year.
i've been introduced as Lacey, Who Never Matches Her Socks at work. I've also been scolded on days they matched (it was laundry day but still, the shame).

My daughter would say "no"
But they have to come out of the same set - can't deal with different length socks!

My socks need to at least be the same type. Otherwise the different textures/thickness will drive me crazy, IDK why I am OCD about that.

i can't deal with different lengths or anything. the two need to have the same length and band size.

When I was in high school, I would wear socks that weren't the same color as each other, but they coordinated with my outfit. If anyone said anything about it, I'd say "they match...me"

I love to match the colors of my socks like i might do a plain blue sock on the right foot and a blue and green and turquoise polka-dotted sock on the left, but they always go with my outfits

Absolutely not, except they must must MUST be the same length! But otherwise, if my socks happen to be folded and all matched up together then I will purposely unfold them and then shuffle up my sock basket so they are not near each other. Besides...opposites attract, right? ;-)

I hate wearing mismatched socks, it makes me feel really uncomfortable around other people

I usually prefer to have matching socks, but sometimes it's impossible, and that's fun too! My favorite socks ever are the Soulmate Socks, which you can find online - and they are made to match but.... not. =) They are super awesome and come in all different colors! ^.^
