Camden Market

It's burnt down!

I'm really so sad. Not just because I love it, but because of all the people whose business have been destroyed, all the people in houses and bars which have had to be evacuated, and the terror and confusion people must be going through. The flames have got to 50ft in places and over 100 firemen have been called out. My friend's there now and saw it all.

It's so sad. I can't stop thinking of all the memories that people have of there and all that it means.

I'm not very happy...I want to cry but it seems silly. So I'm just...sad.

I know, it's so sad. At least the Lock Market, which is my favorite, seems to be okay. I really hope the people trapped get out okay!

It's a real tragedy. You know there are places where you just feel purely happy, in that totally untainted way? Like you're totally at peace. That was what Camden was to me. I'm not sure I want to go there, it's too heartbreaking.

And it's scary because my sister used to live near there. She wouldn't have had to be evacuated, but she could probably have felt the warmth from the fire. And my friend was meant to be going to a gig in Camden but got delayed, and got there after the evacuation.

It's awful. My heart goes out to all the people who lived and worked there, and to you KK, because it was such a special place for you.

I was in London in December but never had time to go to it and I had never been before and now I have to wait until it's rebuilt!!! Happy

Sounds very similar to Afflecks Palace in Manchester even though that was gonna be closed down its been saved, again. I think.

My fave part is the Lock too, but the whole place is great, as you don't stick out being different, coz everyone there is the same lol

I hope everyone gets their jobs and places back Happy

It was only a small part that burned down queeny, so you can still get the Camden experience. Camden's my absolute most favorite place in the world, I was blown away when I first visited and I plan to live there as soon as I can.

The problem is, there were plans to knock it down. So now some of it's gone, there's less stopping them from building an ugly shopping centre there

Yeah, it was the pub where Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss hung out that burned down. I really hope they don't knock any of it down, it's the best place in London.

It really is. My sister said she went to the Hawley Arms once and it was just full of people who weren't celebrities but looked like they thought they were haha

There aren't many places like that and it's a shame when its taken away for no reason apart from 'money'

Yeah, everything modern ends up being made to look boring, like everything else and it's getting really annoying.
