Gardening

I'm a really keen gardener and wondered if there were other crafty gardeners out there in CO&K Land. I have my own allotment with my bf where we grow herbs, veg, fruit and some flowers and we have tons of plants around our flat.

I made recycled wire baskets this year for my deck garden.I grow herbs and lettuce. It's so easy .No food miles and foods fresh from the pot.I container garden as I rent.I trade seeding with friends.I grew this summers lettuce and a friend just gave me back a pot of Rocket my son's fav.I also co -garden my 84 year old neighbour veg patch which a good for both of us. Could we consider a seed swap system?

A seed swap would be cool. We might need to attract some more people to this section but I'm sure I'll have stuff left over when I plant for this year.

How could we set this up? Maybe we should should set up a new thread and list what seeds we have to spare and see if we have any takers. It could be a bit like the swaps but an ongoing one. What do you think?

Sounds great.. but maybe a month or two too late for me..seed gathering season is over here in Canada.. although I do have some extra nanking cherry seeds left.

oooh a seed swap would be grand, I am hoping to get a job up north, and planting an indoor garden would be great

Yay my winter pansies are coming up \o/ I need to repot them but I can't seem to find compost anywhere - pesky christmas stuff everywhere! Happy I can't wait till my pansies start to flower. Anyone else growing anything at the mo?
