Dotee Doll Swap Idea

Hey everyone I am putting this topic here so I wont clog up the Swap board, because this is just and idea right now =D I already blogged about it on my profile page, lol. but here is the jist of it.

Ok So I just found out about these awesome dolls! I know that they are called a lot of different things but the original styles are called Dotee Dolls after the creator, Dotothy Christian. I looooooooove these I have been seeing around other craft sites that people are swapping and trading them like ATC's (artist trading cards)!!!! I want in on it soooo bad! And I want to get all my friends here on CO+K in on it too!

Here are the details on them, they are 4-7 inches tall, no arms or legs sticking out, a ribbon or something to hang them by and a cute tail dangling from the bottom. Other than that you can make them how ever you please.

So I am wondering,
*who would be interested in doing these as a swap?
*when would be a good time to do it?

*have you ever made them before?
*Share you great ideas here!

answering the questions:
-I've never done any of this dolls before (in fact... first time I see them xD)
- best time for this swap... any time after the first week of July please hahaha...
- any other ideas... hmmm... maybe put a theme? I don´t know... like "winter inspired dolls" or something like that... that way you can keep on making this swap in the future just changing the theme Happy

I'm in-they are very cool.I haven't seen this doll form before but they do look great for an on-going swap.Possibly alternate months or every 6 weeks and a theme sounds fun but can get tiring for the host after a while.
They are slightly larger version of the little women pins I used to make with hangers and dangles.
Looking forward to seeing a How -To ;)

Debs is right... maybe the theme idea could be a bit tiring for the host.... but people who join the swap could help with that too!
or we could even change hosts after a while (if Pam is ok with that hahaha)... fun ideas could appear Happy

Yeah I think we should deffinetly do one at then end of July and with some sort of theme, maybe like an autum/fall theme? I love the seasons Happy and then we can have different rounds and others can host! woot!

Pammerz-You host the first and I'll be more than happy to host Halloween.
This may seem crazy but I'm making Christmas decs over the next 24 hrs to submit for a magazine so it all "falls" into place ;0)
