I have four of these Need-A-Bead boxes, but that doesn't feel very inventive.

I am a complete noob with beads, I really just mess around making things for myself, so I don't have enough yet for one of those cool boxes :D

I use old food jars and boxes I find left behind in the hotel where I work (asian guests always bring their own green tea and they come in the funkiest boxes and jars! So, I take them and clean them lol also pastile tins, when they have gone and don't need them! Of course )

    opposites-girl, those containers are awesome!

I have a few proper bead storage boxes, but mostly I just keep them in old mint tins and film canisters (remember film?! from like the olden days before digital cameras hehe).

I like the tall blue drawer thing, where'd ye get that one from? I bet Tom would want your Miffy postcard too.

ah yes my friend jaquie gave me the miffy postcard otherwise he could have had it but it has got writing on it from her and i promised i would put it up in my room and think of her!

the blue tiny drawers have been around for years i think my mum and dad got it from a bootsale years ago! they are very handy! my mum has some down in her studio too and i want to steal them! :( but i have heard that fishing tackle drawers are good and i think this maybe what they are...

Ah cool. I have some similar that my dad used to keep his DIY stuff in. It's missing some drawers because it blew out of the window one day and beads went all over the street - that's still one of the most traumatic days of my life, I was collecting them for hours and there are still loads missing.

oh no thats horrible! what a nightmare i thought it was bad just spilling them on the floor and having to pick them up! i have 3 drawers missing too because it's so old im not sure why!

Try ice cube trays, they're stackable and easy to paint

That's a great idea, thanks Tucker

wow great ideas! I just store them in one of those plastic things with different sections but i might start using diy match box draws like the little ones you made as a kid with paper fasteners.

Okay so I'm a big neat freak when it comes to my craft stuff. I have a grey plastic shelf that is about six feet tall. On that I have this organization tubs. Each tub with say something like clasps, jumprings, finding, chains, etc. Inside each tub are items seperated in plastic bags with individual cost for each item.

The beads I bought come in boxes already but I just leave it in a bag and hope it doesn't spill.

I don't have many beads at the moment but when i have lots of little scraps to store I get all the ones that are roughly the same colour-say pink, and stick them in a jar. They can look really pretty when you fill them up. I then draw a flower on top in glitter pen paints in the matching colour. I put in bits like ribbons, buttons, photocorners, etc. You can put in some big beads too if you want.

I use to use a kids tackle box when I did bead crafts

My parents bought me a huge tackle box for my b-day to put all my beads in after mum nearly broke her neck when she stepped on one. I have so many beads it's scary (I don't though ANYTHING out and it's beginning to be a real problem)

I have some red beads in s small bottle that contained Chilli-oil in it before. I washed it of course, and now it`s a neat little chilli-red-pearlsand flowers-container. It`s really cool because of the label and the shape. :)

You know I gave in from the lack of space on my desk with all my little tubs of stuff and bought some proper bead/storage stuff. Will post pics when they are all organised.

I use everything that I can fit beads in, but the containers have to have locking tops if they are the plastic divider type boxes....but the question is How do you ORGANIZE your beads? Thats funny to me, only because no matter how many times I try to organize them, I never have developed a perfect system. I keep all my swarovskis in one container, and all my crystazis in another, then I sort by color then shape. I do this for most all my types of beads but so far the crystals being that they are so pretty, are the easiest place to start to develop a system for organizing your beads. In my opinion.
