Candy flavors--your favorites

So some of you know that I'm hoping to open up a candy shop some time in 2013. I have found a site that sells lots of awesome natural candy flavorings and want to see what everyone likes the most.

I hope to order as many as 6 or 7 over the next few months JUST so I can make St Valentine's Day candies for friends and family.

I already have food-grade essential oils I used in soapmaking, including peppermint, cinnamon, orange, and clove.

Here are the others I can get:
Anise (like black licorice)
Lemon
Lime
Spearmint
Ginger
Pomegranate
Cherry
Strawberry
Blueberry
Pear
Chocolate
Vanilla
Raspberry

What are your five favorites? Happy

Personally, I'm leaning toward strawberry, pomegranate, pear, cherry, and lime.

From that list I like: Vanilla, Chocolate,& Cherry Happy

Cherry & Chocolate or Strawberry & Chocolate could be a nice combination.

There is a bakery near me that sells Pear & Chocolate muffins. Although I wasn't sure if that combination would work, it is actually quite nice.

What kind of candies are you making?

Hard candies for now, I'll be making lollipops and other such things once I order some nice molds.

I'm not very into candy because I think the flavors taste like plastic, you know, fake. I rather eat real fruit than candy. I do like chocolate, and I love vanilla and, of course, the taste of sugar. I think most people like strawberry, cherry and lemon. The worst taste in the world, in my opinion, is pineapple. I do like the fruit, I don't like the candy.

I wish you good luck with your shop, I don't think I will ever pass by, since I'm not living near the states, I hope I do though.

Sadly it's kindof been pushed to the backburner for a while. I'm coming up on the last couple years of college and really need to kick my school work into high gear.

I appreciate all the input though Happy I might continue to make candies as a side project though.

I should send you some sometime, Lisa. I'm thinking about making some new batches with homemade sugar syrup (which I made from cane sugar to replace corn syrup). My fiance's mom has some flavorings she doesn't want anymore that I need to use up but I'm not sure what she's got.

I made a really delicious vanilla batch a while ago but have only a couple pieces left.

Cherry with lime is the best flavor of all time...aside from black licorice.
