Well, a little about myself.

My name is Holly, I'm very shy and very emotional.

I love playing board games and I think there is nothing better then cuddling up with a good book to read. I enjoy being with my friends. I probably have a unhealthy addiction to my favorite television show, Chuck. I play video games, I'm a Nintendo girl, I have a collection of comic books.

I get along well with kids. I plan on taking my ECE course to have a career with working with Children. I'm a Christian but I won't push my beliefs on you, I simply ask that you respect me for my beliefs.

I am always looking for new friends, so never be afraid to talk to me but I warn you, I ask a lot of questions when it comes to crafts!

I started a scrapbook on my days battling a mental illness and I have to admit, 2010 is looking pretty great!

Christmas messes me up too! our family decided to move it to June 25th next year, its right when our daughter gets out of school, and a few birthdays, so it'll be one big party, no tree or any of that made up stuff, were thinking since it'll be nice so we can BBQ! and just think of all the left over sale stuff next month! I
never get mail, really! ive gotten 3 things since joining swaps and stuff! no happy grams, nuttin! oh well, life does go on!

no i didnt get your package, i actually havent gotten anything but junk mail in awhile, but ive sent so much junk!

Hey! Im so glad you got your package! im sorry to hear about your mood, I think zombie best describes me too, just kinda here!
We froze our asses off for 2 1/2 days, no power...ugh! Im looking forward to this part of the year being over!
I cant drive so I'll have to see if my husband can hit the post office tomorrow...Id walk but its 1/2 ice on the roads.
Ive been working on lots of different things, trying to keep my mind free from wandering the dark roads in my head!
have a HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Im sorry to here about the hospital, I almost got unvoluntarily taken there yesterday...I tell ya! I hope you get your package soon, Im curious to see how long its going to take. im trying to stay busy, set a goal for myself and decided to dive into an inchie swap adventure. take care of yourself and have a good day!

I haven't worked in almost two years. I've applied for over 100 jobs (I lost count) and have only had a handful of interviews. Minimum wage jobs won't even give me a chance because I have a college degree. They should know that doesn't mean anything these days. I went bankrupt and had to move back home. It's not too bad. When I lived alone, it was almost like I was in prison. I barely ever left the house. I hate to hear that things aren't going well on your end. I hope you can go to the doctor and get your meds or something sorted out. Depression is the absolute worst! I don't think I'd wish it on my worst enemy.

Do it! I love bunnies, too. They're so easy to make. I'm the laziest, most ADD person in the world, so if I can do it, anyone can! I'm doing ok. I've been keeping busy, but was a little down near the end of the week after a commission I was working on went to crap, but mom fixed it, and I still haven't heard back from the job I interviewed for over a week ago. My insurance runs out in February, so I need a full time job by then or I'm screwed. I'm trying to get on Medicaid, but I don't know if I qualify. Are you doing better?

Hey! Sorry it took so long to reply, but I haven't been online much lately. I really made the pattern myself by tracing a hoodie I already had. Then I just did the scarf about 4 by 27-ish inches on each side. I did learn how to make the pattern by looking at indietutes.blogspot.com. They have a scoodie tutorial on there, but I don't like following tutorials because I'm a hands on learner. I hope that you're doing well!

Its in the 30's here...im sure we are going to get snow, thank goodness for snow tires, id rather stay in and sip tea in my fleece onesie by the fire! but i gotta go to the f'n doc again! bbl

Swaps are where you trade handmade crafts with a partner via mail. The swaps are usually based around a theme. On Cut Out + Keep it's usually required that you complete the Newbie/Veteran Swap before moving on to any other swaps. In that swap you pair up with a partner who is a veteran to swapping on here and trade at minimum 3 crafts. There isn't a theme for this swap, so you usually look at your partner's profile if they have likes and dislikes listed or simply ask them to give you a few ideas for things to make. To give you an idea of what can be made: plushies, jewelry, paper craft, bags, t-shirts, scarves, hats, etc. If you're interested in doing the Newbie/Veteran swap, I'd be glad to take you as a Newbie. Just let me know!

Plushies are fun! That's what I've been into doing for a while now, but I hand sew all mine b/c I don't know how to use a machine. I think hand sewing them is better for anxiety and depression as it tends to calm you down. I need to take my own advice, but if you feel a depressive episode coming on, maybe it'd be good to get out and do some exercise to get some endorphines going. Just walking would help. Yoga and pilates are fun and very relaxing. I need to exercise, but I'm so lazy. I just came out of a major episode of depression and I actually feel happy for once. I think I'm finally learning to love myself. Something I've never done before. I honestly don't see how you have a paycheck left after working at Michael's! I'd buy everything! I have a second job interview on Friday! I'm so excited and I really want this job. Say a prayer or 10 for me because I really need this!

No need to thank for the support. That's what I'm here for! Happy Uh oh, just saw that Oddbreed is gonna send you inchies! They are terribly addicting! I haven't made any in a while, but when I was making them I had to force myself to stop! Do you do any crafts other than scrapbooking? That's one craft I never really picked up because I don't take photos very often. I know you don't have to just scrap photos. I love doing paper crafts from time to time though. Happy

I'm sorry to hear about you losing your dad and that your mother is ill. I have faith that you'll make it through this rough time. I've had a really rough couple of years myself. I've been in the hospital 4 times because of my mental illness (all voluntary commitments--didn't want you thinking I was nuts lol), I lost my job of 7.5 years, I lost my home, went bankrupt, and had to move back home with my parents. Through all of this, many people have abandoned me. The only people who haven't are the wonderful ladies I've met here who are my best friends. I may not be able to see them in person, but I chat with them every day. If you ever need someone to lend an ear or just be a friend, don't hesitate to send me a private message. It sucks to know that someone else is going through the same things you are, but good at the same time because at least someone understands. *hug*

I would not say Im so strong as I put myself in
God's hands.He takes care of me and has helped me threw so much.When my daughter was dying, It was very very hard, her birthday was last mo..that was hard.But I know she is in a better place, her life was very hard and full of suffering.Im glad she is out of it, but I miss her terrible, same as I miss my mom.Not a day goes by hardly that I don't think of my mom, some times I even think "Oh i have to show that to mom" you know what I mean.Let God strengthen you, he will do it, he said you have not because you ask not..Ask and ye shall receive..smile..

Hi, I saw your comment about your mom and losing your Dad, I hope your mom will be ok.I lost mine years ago, and my oldest daughter a year ago.Very hard things to go thu, I also have battled mental illness, esp depression.I hope this site will be a good place for you and I know that crafts have been a great help to me.

Hey there, hun. I ran across your post in the Happygrams thread and was reading your profile. I suffer from mental illness as well and crafting keeps me going. Welcome to CO+K! It's definitely helped and still helps me through the rough times. There are a lot of good people here. *hugs*
