How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I believe I found it because I was looking for tutorials on DIY wedding projects. As soon as I found the site, I was hooked. I'm always looking for new things to try, and the site has been an amazing source for inspiration (and tutorials!).

What projects are you currently working on?

I am trying to focus on DIY home decorating projects right now, like making stencils to make wall art and decoupaging small end tables. And I am determined to make this the year I finally make a lampshade out of X-rays.

What does your craft space look like?

I just finished moving my crafting area into a new space and reorganizing. I love those wire cube shelves and the plastic storage containers. It's still never easy to find what I need though! My sewing area is still an abomination, though. I won't send you a picture of that! You can't even tell there's a sewing machine under the fabric I've piled on the top of it.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

I can't live without Aleene's Turbo Tacky glue, my glue gun, Sharpie ultra fine black markers, good scissors, and my paper trimmer.

What do you craft along to?

I like to listen to music when I'm crafting - lots of industrial, EBM, neofolk, or metal. If the TV is on, it's usually a cartoon. I watch way too much Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse, Archer and Squidbillies.

Favorite Craft

I love deconstructing and re-constructing old clothing, papercrafting, and making jewelry and accessories of all kinds.

Lola's Top Crafts

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I would really like to sit down and learn to crochet. I keep meaning to but I am easily distracted.

Who are your crafting heroes?

There are so many talented people out there! Definitely Cat Morley, Stacie Grissom at Stars for Streetlights, Alessia Di Fonso at A Matter of Style, Stephanie Inagaki who makes the Miyu Decay line of jewelry, and anyone else expressing themselves creatively.
