When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I first really got into baking/desserts just before starting my blog. I remember making brownie pops for the first time and let’s just say, practice makes perfect.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen is…smaller than I’d like but I make it work! I always try to pull all my ingredients out before beginning and then (on a good day) I’ll even put away the ones I’m finished with – mid prep. Also, my rule is – if I bake/cook, you clean. ;)
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Never be afraid to try new things (including scary things)!
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
I would invite fellow blogger friends (too many to list!) along with the ‘big’ names such as Angie from Bakerella, Ree the Pioneer Woman, Ina Garten, my mother and I would love for my grandmothers to be there. Girls dinner! What would I cook for them – wow, I’d need at least several months of planning! But I could think of a few desserts for sure…;)
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Other crafts: every once in a while I’ll get the craft ‘bug’ and revert to my jewelry making days or make a craft-store-run from something I’ve seen on Pinterest. Other hobbies include horseback riding, playing with my puppy and being outdoors.
