When did you first start knitting / crocheting and where did you learn?

My first knitted item was a dark blue scarf with white fringes. My mum cast on the stitches for me, I added the holes, even if not required! I was almost 10 years old.
I started to crochet less than 3 years ago, on Easter holidays in 2012. I read a lot of crochet books ( the ones for children are the best to learn from!), but what I found really useful was to watch some "how to crochet' videos on You Tube!

Can you remember the first thing you made?

The first thing I was able to crochet was a stripy rug in some colourful acrylic yarns from Indonesia. It's not perfect and it has an irregular shape, but I love it and it's still in use in my bedroom.
Another knitted thing I stitched in my early years was a white vest, open in the front and just with 2 decorative blue buttons on the collar. I never wore it!!!!

Who are your favourite pattern designers and celebrity knitters & crocheters?

Well, this is really a hard question! I have a huge collection of Japanese crochet books, that I love because I found so easy to follow their charts. Not knowing Japanese, I cannot read it, so I find hard to say who is a Japanese designer I like! Anyway, I don't have a specific knitter or a crocheter as an idol. I follow a lot of blogs, sometimes I fall in love with a pattern of a designer, but it could be that her/his next pattern can be not so amazing, so I prefer to be open minded and embrace more designers in my blog roll list!

What are your favourite things to stitch and do you have a favorite item you've made?

I really like to work on quick and colourful projects. They really satisfy my need to work on different w.i.p.s at the same time : I get easily bored with big projects! Said that, I love my Globetrotter Blanket (it took me some months to complete it) and the Christmas Trees Decorations, made for a Christmas Crafty Link-Up by Laura Howard last year.

What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?

I love to listen to the 80s music, especially the British Pop music !!! I'm still a great fan of The Police, Spandau Ballet, Ulravox, Depeche Mode, Simply Red, Simple Minds, Sade, Level 42, and a lot more!!!
Tv Shows ??? For sure : Downton Abbey !

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I find relaxing to work with felt. The fact that it doesn't fray make me so happy!!! Then, as for yarn, you have a wide range of colours and thickness to work with : felt is a good alternative when I get bored ( do I?) with yarn!
I'm a book lover (no kindle!) : I like the smell of a real book and leaf through its pages! When tired, instead of reading, I try some Sudoko's grids !
When I have time, I like to have a good morning walk with my camera around my neck!

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

My last 10 years life have been busy around the world !!!!
My kids and I followed my husband, because of his job, in Egypt, Indonesia and Mozambique! In this long period abroad, I started again to knit and other crafts, such as beading (necklaces), working with felt and crochet. With the help of my blog, I try to share my passion for crafts and I love to prepare photo tutorials for all the people who share the same love for hooks and knitting needles!!!
