Don't know if I'm posting project correctly

Hi! New to this site and am a bit confused. I posted a "version" of something already here, and I posted a "creation" of my own. When I go to post the project, is my pic supposed to show up in the black box at the top left of the page? It doesn't. Does that mean that when my project shows up (is published), that it will just show a black box that will have to be clicked on in order to see the pic of my project?

Hey I just posted my first and while it was in progress, the little picture in the left upper corner showed nothing, but it had the selected picture after publishing so I think you are OK!
