Swap Help?

Could someone please, in detail, describe to me how you join, or do swaps? I really want to do one!! I was going to an old friend (but she just wasn't into it, sadly.) Sooo, if someone could please inform me that would be great. Thanks so much.

Well, right now, it's become mandantory for new people to do the newbie swap before joining any others. It's a way to get new people used to how they work, and to make sure it's something they really want to do. We're trying to get a handle on the people who tend to go MIA during swaps. So... for the newbie swap, you just make a post with your name and location, and a veteran will pick you to be their partner. That way, since you have a veteran swapper, you KNOW you'll get something, rather than having your first swap be a possible bomb. It's a really great idea Sug came up with. So, y'all will swap addy's, tell each other what you like, and set a date for send-out. All swaps are a little bit different, but the first post in each will tell you the rules. Different swap hosts = different rules.. sometimes.

But definately sign up for the newbie swap, and that will get you started! Hope that helps!

The most important thing when you do take part in a swap is to keep in contact and keep an eye on the thread of the swap you've joined. Its a cool way to see what others are doing and get help if your having difficulties. Also most people are really great if you say your having problems and there will always be someone who can offer advice or make a suggestions. Good luck Happy
