How do you store your felt sheets?

Just wondering...

I just went to Michael's and bought about 30 bucks worth of felt. (and at 30 cents a piece, that's a lot)

Now I don't know how to store them so they are organized and not crumpled...and so I don't cut a full sheet when I've got a big enough scrap sheet.

Any ideas?

Ooooh felt is always fun and nice to have on hand.

I store mine in one of those tall plastic containers that has the 3 drawers in them.

Yeah, the plastic container is also how I store my felt. You can also use a old school blinder, just put the felt inside of a folder to prevent it from falling out inside the blinder. The cheap DIY way I store scrap book paper when I have no more space. Happy

these are great ideas. My husband suggested a hanging file system...but I'm not sure if that will keep them from being wrinkled. I found this online last night and I'm in love! It's for holding construction paper.

Only problem is I want something semi-portable because I'm moving from room to room with it. I have no definite crafting space.

I was up all night thinking about this problem! lol

What about a rubbermaid bin? You can get them in all sizes, they are hard so your felt wont get crumpled and they have handles so you can carry them around. I really like the idea about the folders. You could put all your different colours in separate folders and put them all in the bin to keep it more organized.

JoAnn's sells a rolling scrapbook organizer cart and each drawer is a lidded box with a handle. I've got 3 of 'em and they work beautifully. Happy

i store my felt in big zip up plastic bag that my bed comforter came in. i can see thru it, it has handle and lays flat on my craft shelf. Not having our own space is hard! Lots of those plastic 3 draw bins have wheel on the bottom. I bet you can find a good deal on one of those because of all the back to college/ dorm room sales this time of year.

i like that construction paper organizer! I can't have any of my craft supplies out in the open because of my cats Happy everything i have has to be zipped up!

I have my 9 x 12 sheet in a plastic tub for hanging files. I have them sorted by color into file folders and then put into hanging folders. Then my lager 12 x 18 sheets are in a large, under bed, storage box with lid. You can pick up the file folder boxes cheap at office depot sometimes.

In empty cereal boxes on my bookcase to keep the felt sheets dust free.
