I read something where someone was saying Earth Day is a load of rubbish because you can't just be "greeen" for one day, you have to keep it up all the time. Which is true I suppose, but having a day means that the issue gets highlighted and it raises awareness and makes more people think "Maybe being green is a good idea after all".
