Attn: Maryland Members

My name is Lisa and I live in Maryland. I thought since you're in Maryland we could kind of start a Maryland Crafters' group on here. We could network and get to be friends in the process. I sent a message to "Crafterella" suggesting the group idea and she said they're working on it! In the meantime, we'll just be our own lil' group!

For those that have already "joined", please introduce yourselves - if you don't mind. Happy

Best regards,

~Lisa H.

Hello Maryland Crafters!

This thread will be our main way of communicating with one another until CO&K officially adds Groups to the website. With that being said, lets all add a lil' paragraph about ourselves in order to introduce ourselves to one another.

Once I get approval from the current "members", I'll be posting a list of current Maryland Crafters so you can add them all to your friends list. You never know, you may live just a few miles from a fellow CO&Ker!

As most of you know the first question that was asked was, do you know of any good flea markets or craft fairs in Maryland that would be good to sell our crafty wares at? I know many of you replied to me with your answers, but it may help others to post your answer here as well!

As for my introduction, here it goes...
I'll be turning 28 this year and I've been married for almost 9 years and disabled for over 2 years. My husband, Nathan, and I moved to Maryland a couple years ago so I could see doctors at Johns Hopkins. Nathan is in the military, but due to my medical condition we are hoping to stay in Maryland for another 4 years if possible.
Thanks to an implant that delivers medication directly into my spinal cord along with other treatment, I've been able to start doing things I enjoy again - like arts & crafts. The craft I dedicate most of my time to is beading projects, but I love all crafts and art in general. I love to learn new projects and techniques and love to share ideas with others. I decided to start this group in order to meet people in this area and to learn about my new home.
That about covers it!

Thanks for reading!
~Lisa H.
