I want to buy some beeswax, as I hear you can use it for lipbalms and candles.. but what else can you do with it?
I use it for lipbalms and it works great. but I don't know any other things to do with it.... so I'll follow this thread ;)
This is nothing crafty but it is the best furniture polish there is.....and it makes everything smell nice! It works really well on antiques! =D
lipbalms would be great to try furniture polish..could be useful for my mum
I just got some for bookbinding and book altering-the teen says I'm not to stink the house out again ;0)
When you're hand sewing, run the thread along some beeswax, and it keeps the thread from getting tangled into knots whilst sewing. Also, run the end of the thread over some beeswax to make it much easier to thread the needle.
Oh, that's a good idea! I'd forgotten, but my mom used to keep beeswax in her sewing kit for this reason.
I have used bees wax in collage. It is very popular right now. I use a small craft iron to apply it. They also make encaustic colored waxes for painting. You can also melt and drip crayons to add color to collage.
