Having a gown custom made?

So does anyone here know how to find a stellar seamstress? I ask because I am going to be competing in a high-end pageant, and I fully intend to win (I've been competing for several years). I have a dress in mind, but it's just that--in my mind! I need to find a top-notch seamstress to turn my dream dress into a reality without having to pay exorbitant prices. Happy Help?

I had my wedding dress custom made by a wonderful woman in Dallas. Her name is Traci and she is amazing! She usually works on period pieces and costumes but I don't think there is anything that she can't do. Here is her website:

Just send her an email with your idea and she should get back with you.

Thanks! Do you know how much she charges per hour while making them?

I don't know her hourly cost. I know that it does hinge on what fabric, beadwork, etc that you want.

I don't know if there are any in my area... if there are, they all speak Hebrew and prolly cost an arm and a leg. ;)
