Knitting and sewing
I'm a big-time podcast listener. My favorites are This American Life, Savage Love, Freakonomics Radio, The Memory Palace, Radiolab, and PotterCast.
My mother taught me to sew, sitting in her lap at a mid-1970s Kenmore machine (it had been her graduation present) that now sits in my apartment. The first specific thing I can remember making on it was a doll with pipe-cleaner hair inspired by the one in the movie Matilda.
Home decor items, clothes, and gifts.
Style is my number-one interest, and for me, personal style and DIY go hand in hand. One of the primary missions of my blog is to inspired people that they can create and express their own style not just as a curator, but as a creator. That's why DIY projects and recipes are featured regularly on my blog alongside outfit posts and and other fun things.
