When did you first start crafting and how did you learn?

Probably 3 or 4, I don't remember NOT making things. My mom was super-creative. She built coffee tables, did lovely needlepoint, sewed, and lived a creative life. She was always more willing to buy me books, paper, paste and crayons than toys.

Can you remember the first thing you made?

No, I remember making dolls from dowels and yarn, but that's not the first thing.

Where do you look for inspiration?

Nature for colors and palettes, grocery stores for things to cover or make boxes to fit, physics and math books, and housework. I've found faced with scrubbing my shower or doing a sinkful of dishes I can ALWAYS think of something I'd rather be doing.

What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?

::blush::Chaotic. There is a lot of overlap in crafting. I'd like to say I'm one of those ultra-organized everything neatly in place types, but when that's been the case, it just doesn't work for me. I'm a lot happier with various materials spread out over my desk and mixed bins. Sometimes trying to find a thing helps me try something new.

What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?

When I'm doing beadwork, anything by Joss Whedon on tv. Crochet- either science or science fiction on tv Papercrafts- I like classical music. Glitter and gluing- rock and roll! Working on free printables for my website? It's a mix of music, rap, reggae, rock, classical, alternative, punk, new wave. I have a playlist with 4000 of my favorite songs and it's like my own personal radio station.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

Beadwork, crochet, knit, sew, macrame, duct tape, resin, wirework, chainmail to name a few. I think they all work well together and can get inspiration from one to try something with another.
Hobbies? I collect books. Stacks and stacks of craft books from the most current and trendy to crochet leaflets from the 1920s. My favorites are from the 60s and 70s. The funky, bright popping shapes and colors are just great.
I also love to cook, go hiking, swimming, and reviewing things.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

My mom always said if you wear pink sneakers, you can be invisible. That's why all my sneakers are pink.
