When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?

It all started with a simple lemon poundcake. I was browsing through old cookbooks at home and found a recipe that caught my attention, that poundcake looked so fluffy and delicious that I wanted to try it...even though I never cooked anything before. It came out great, I started to try more complicated recipes and since then I've got the baking bug.

What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?

My kitchen is not too big and I have so many bakery gadgets; lately I bought a huge new food processor that is still waiting to find its place in my kitchen.
I'm a clean freak (sometimes it can be really hard to deal with my perfectionism!) so when I'm cooking I always do the 'mise en place' which is a french culinary term that means to have all your ingredients ready and put all together in the same place before you start with the recipe.
One more thing I always do is to put back in their place all the items I've already used while I'm cooking like baking powder, flour jars, etc. Also, I always wash the dishes and all the gadgets during the baking time.

What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?

Don't be afraid to try new things. You will most probably throw away a lot of inedible food but you will also learn so much from your mistakes! Patience is the key, remember that.

Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?

I'd invite so many people! But the first person that comes to my mind is Henry Cavill. I'm not sure what kind of main course I'd cook for him but surely the dessert would be something super chocolaty, luscious and decadent. Cooking for Superman could be quite an exciting experience.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I've always loved cross stitching, I find it so relaxing and cute. I also like to do some other little crafts for my food photography like cupcake toppers, flags, etc.

Which cooking blogs do you love to read?

My favorite blogs list is so long! But ones I'd recommend are:
Apt. 2B Baking Co.
Oh Lady Cakes.
Call Me Cupcake.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I want to thank Cat Morley for introducing me to this awesome platform and for the chance to let others know a little more about me and my food blog Cinnamon Girl. Thanks a lot!
