What are your hobbies?

If I only have time I read books, bike, and travel. My husband and children are great companions for city trips. We hike together, play games. My great love is photography, but I suppose it is also a crafty business.

What are your favorite crafts and what's your craft space like?

I love to make things, it does not matter what. I love to see things being created. I think photography is my favorite one, and then sewing comes, knitting/crocheting etc. I also like to draw but I never show my drawings/paintings because I am never satisfied with the result.
As a mom of two, I love to craft with my children. They also like to do it. My daughter (10) has her own YouTube channel (appeltije met sproetjes) with d.i.y.’s.
I do not have a real craft space, I craft on random places. I have a cupboard full of supplies. It is a very messy place.

What do you craft along to?

It is quite weird, I suppose, but I love silence. Most of the peoples I know, immediately after entering their houses will turn on TV or radio. I do not. I love silence. One think that does not bother me is ticking sound of a clock. My crafting time is after everyone goes to bed. I will sit until midnight, sometimes an hour or two longer. Listen to my own thoughts and craft.

What was the first project you ever made?

The very first one I do not remember because I was busy with all kind of creative activity since my early childhood. I remember three crafts that I was really happy with. All of them I made somewhere between age of eight and twelve. One was my first table runner I cross-stitched with little birds, second, also cross-stitched, napkin for my grandma. I embroidered an apple, pear and cherries. I was so proud when my grandma displayed it in her kitchen (she was very critical person and would not mind to hurt my feelings if she did not like the napkin). The last one, was my very well my first hand stitched applique. I was 12 when I made it. It was a picture of a little girl in a hood. The background was orange because I could not find a plain fabric in another color. It was hanging in my room for a long time but got lost around the time I went to the University. Such a shame.

What are your favorite items to make?

I do not have favorites; I love to create, no matter what. Trying new things/techniques is my favorite.

Which other craft blogs do you love to read?

It is bad, but I do not have time to read blogs. I love Pinterest and Instagram as a source of inspiration. Sometimes if I find something interesting there then I will go to the blog and read it.
I have few Polish blogs I visit sometimes but not on a regular basis (I am Polish living in the Netherlands).
