Hello, my name is Britt.

I am a designer, illustrator, photographer and maker. I like to make greetings cards, draw comics and make collages.

Where I can I use recycled, repurposed or found materials in my work. Knowing that what I make was once partially something else and will now be loved a second time round as something completely different is pretty cool. Finding things in unexpected places is part of what makes life so interesting. Abandoned shoes, jewellery and notes are such interesting items to me. This might be why I find charity shops so fascinating.

Photography with friends is always better, #npwalk (Newcastle Photo Walk) are a group photographers and friends who meet regularly to take photos around our local area. We have recently been heading further afield with trips to Corbridge and Beamish. Getting involved with local groups and events is great, I'm also part of the Paper Jam Comics Collective and Made in Newcastle.
