Being a wife, mother, and grandmother, I am keenly aware of our household needs, and how meeting those needs have drastically changed over the years. My husband, Paul, is the main provider for the household, and has always taken much pride in that. But in today's economy and political environment, both he and I grow more concerned about what the future holds for us.
Though the company Paul works for has always been good to him, they are not immune to the effects of the economy. He has already witnessed many layoffs, including his supervisor. I find myself concerned regularly about the security of Paul's position.
With our government depending on our money to sustain them, and being unable to operate within the means they have been provided, it is looking more and more like there will be less and less money from our incomes to operate our own households...even for those who keep their jobs or obtain income from other means of work. So, I find myself needing to help with the household expenses.
But I also have a great passion for helping with other things that don’t pay, such as campaigns, conservative organizations, and educating others on the effects of the new education standards. Not to mention, I want to be available for whenever my husband is able to take time off from work. Then there is the rest of my family. I have grandchildren now, and getting time with them would be very difficult with a full-time job.
I won’t even go into my physical limitations…but suffice it to say that I can no longer work the same jobs I have done all my life.
So, I went in search for something I can do from home, could get a decent income, and yet, set my own hours. Many years ago I sold Avon, and did okay at it. I thought maybe I could try that again. I entered my info into a site that was promoting working with Avon, and eventually got a call from a wonderful lady who has now become my sponsor, Karen Rosson. She has helped me get set up, and I feel quite confident that I can do really well with such a great company.
