About

I am married to George and have two Sons Casey (daughter n law Christen) and Cody and a stepson Trey. I have two beautiful little granddaughters. I am a home loan officer at First National Bank, but no I did not do the kind of loans that messed up the Mortgage Industry. My parents (Dad deceased) are Albert and Elloie Stem and I have two brothers Maxie and George Stem.

I am also the mother to Angie Caples who was killed when she was 6 years old in a tragic auto accident. In 2004, I started a support group called "Mothers of Angels" This is a support group for mothers who have lost a child in death for any reason. We meet monthly at Nettleton Baptist Church. I send out over 160 newsletters each month to ladies who have requested to be on my mailing list. I mail the program from the meetings to these ladiies who are unable to attend these type meetings. We also provide grave markers for parents who cannot afford them when they lose a child. We also provide memory boxes along with blanket, hat and bootie sets to mothers when they lose a child at birth. We do this through the local hospitals and funeral homes. I felt the need to do something to help other women, and felt this was also what God wanted me to do. I also wanted to do something that would help keep my daughter's memory alive. It is important to us Mothers of Angels that friends and family do not forget our children who have gone on before us.

I am active in my church as a Sunday School teacher for 2nd grade.

I am a member of Altrusa, which is a civic organization who helps with literacy and women and children's issues.

I have many friends but two of my most wonderful friends are my traveling and shopping buddies, Debbie Carter and Brenda Bozarth. We went to school & graduated from high school together and have remained close friends through all of these years.
Teresa Runkel is another very special friend of mine who I met through Mothers of Angels. We are both mothers who lost our precious daughters and have developed a beautiful friendship through our support of each other. We both feel that our friendship had to be God's plan for us.

I am a very family oriented person who loves her family and friends dearly.
