About

I am a disabled, "retired" nurse, wife (29 years), & mother of 4 boys who will be, as of 2016 . . . . 29, 17, 14, & 13 !
STOP HERE, if you don't want to hear my whole life story, or at least a long winded version of it. . . .

O.K., you asked for it! . . .
There is 11 years,11 months difference between my first & second, & 3 years between my second & third, then only 18 months between the last two.I figured it was getting a little too close so I stopped before I got to only 9 months between kids, now that would have been really hard! No, really, I would have had more if my body could handle it. I know 16 years seems like a large age gap between my first, & last, but they get along great! My eldest helps sooo much now.
I had gestational diabetes, which I keep after the kids were born, & it turned into type 2 diabetes. But that was just the beginning, among other health problems I developed rheumatoid arthritis, which is a systemic deteriorating disease affecting all the joints, & other body parts like hearing, eyesight, & a few other things, & the medication has devastating side effects that only slow the disease progression, but that wasn't enough, I guess. So, when I do something, I do it right, & proper! Meaning I also developed ankylosing spondolysis which is another type of arthritis that affects the joints in your pelvis on either side of the spine around where the dimples are above your buttocks. I have to lay flat all the time or the pain is too much. With all this going on, I am limited in what I can do now. I have always been an arts, & crafts person with interests in ALL arts, & crafts. I miss so many things! I read constantly, & I still try to do as many crafts as I can, but it is an infinitesimaly small amount compared to what I use to do. Right now, my limits are to what I can do laying down, so any ideas you want to throw at me to help me carry out my crafts . . . I am all ears! Just getting the supplies out exhaust me so I have little energy to craft, & none to clean up my mess. I'm trying to become more efficient, but it is almost impossible to organize on my own, & I hate asking for help, but after 10 years I'm slowly getting use to it. I hope to pass on some of what I've learned over the years, as that is mostly all I can to now. You know that saying; "Those who can't. . . teach." I look forward to being of help to any who wish it, & if not, just tell me, & I won't bother you, but will still be rooting for your success. So here's a toast; "To new friendships"!
