About

Recently I took the position of keyholder at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts in Venice, FL. I originally took the job because JoAnns did better than the vast majority of retail stores during the economic downturn (that is yet to be truly seen), but as I stopped spending money and started getting bored, I did something I'd never done before: I listened to the old ladies (everyone in Florida is old) that came in all the time. I started asking questions and actually trying to learn the purpose of everything that I could grasp. Don't get me wrong, I grew up on construction fundamentals with my dad, but let's just say I'm not now, nor will I ever again, be fully capable of those types of tasks. So I started making hemp jewelry and evolved to handstitching puches. I don't have a sewing machine, but my handstitching is about as good as it will ever get. I recently found my heart in Rasta, and I've begun working on flags and banners.

Will post as pictures become available.
