When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
Like many women about my age, my mum taught me how to sew at about twelve. She used to make all of my clothes as well as my six other siblings.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
A navy blue crushed velvet jacket when I was 13.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
I have a lot of favourites but I particularyI love April Rhodes patterns and enjoy reading blog posts by Jolies Bobbines and Ada Spragg.
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
My sewing space is in our spare bedroom. I have a really nice lighting over my sewing table and I can see out onto the street. I love watching people walk by as I'm sewing. Music is always on and a coffee is usually not to far away.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I listen to Spotify so the music varies. Electronic is probably my favourite genre.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I don't have any other craft/hobbies as I don't have time but I'd love to be able to crochet.
