Easy steps for sewing a manual rolled hem
If you don't have a rolled hem foot or an overlocker you can sew a rolled hem manually.
Rolled hems are necessary If you are working with a fine fabric such as silk or chiffon. They also work really nicely on any lightweight fabric. I use them on my Venus Kimono and they work out beautifully every time.
In this tutorial I will show you in just a few simple steps how to easily sew a neat manual rolled hem.

You Will Need

Step 1Fold the raw edge over 6mm and stitch close to folded edge.

Step 2Turn over 6mm again and press.

Step 3Stitch on top of the previous stitching line.
