You can use clear number 6 plastic you get from take out containers and stuff. Look for the recycle arrows and in between those, is the number. =]

Just a quick question: When your cutting out your birds preshrinking it should be a bit bigger than your fist right?

This is awesome. I'm planning on using the Shrink Plastic on a necklace, and was curious what kind of hole punch gadget you used.

Thanks for the idea!

I got the shrink plastic on eBay, it's quite cheap on there! Dulci, clever idea with the heavy beads. I can't wait to see all of your versions!

this is absolutely wunderbar! i love anything with birds on it, reminds me of traditional tattoo imagery.. shrink-plastic is so damned hard to come by, but its so worth my ordering it online if i can make anything like this incredible necklace..

This is very nice! in fact, i am on my way to dig out my black shrinky plastic to make it today. There is one thing i will change tho and that is since shrink plastic is so lightweight, i will use heavy beads between the birds to give enough weight to make the necklace lay down well. Great idea and thank you for sharing with us!!

I just used a pair of tiny scissors. Remember that you cut the birds out larger than they turn out, so you shrink them down, which makes it easier to get the detail!

What do you use to cut out the birds with such accuracy? A stanley knife?
