Got my package from Gypsie! It was worth the wait, she sent me loads of goodies! My favourite item was the decoupage box, so cool! AND it was filled with tea and hot chocolate ^_^
I also got 2 necklaces, a bracelet, a hairband, a bookmark, and earrings Happy She included a fantasy book about cats too, haha cant wait to read it! (I'm reading Gone at the moment, which is a good read i'd reccomend) Oh and some paper book beads and some candy Happy
Thanks gypsie for another great swap xxx

Yesterday I received Julie G.'s package and I'm honored and humbled by the awesomeness of what I got! My swap seems so small and poor compared to yours Julie, I'm so ashamed!
I'll post pictures later today to share with you all the impressive items she made ^___^

Mary - you're making me blush! There is no need for you to be ashamed - I couldn't make what you sent me (and I do love it!)
{And if it makes you feel better I can point out all the flaws in what I made! I am by no means a quilter - or like fabric piecing! - but I saw the inspiration for the piece weeks ago and this was the perfect swap to try it out!!}

Sooooo it took a long time, but eventually I'm posting Julie G.'s swap picture.

As you can see there is a bag, some envelopes together with their cards, some bookmarks, stash and candy.
Julie, as I'm sincerely lost for words to describe how much I love what you sent me, I'm going to tell you a story. I have a very snotty colleague, who measures everybody for the number of designer labels they wear. Of course she's always teasing me over my "mall-bought clothes", as she calls them. Luckily for me, she doesn't know I haven't bought a new piece of clothing in ages - I buy second-hand clothes from thrift stores, swap clothes with friends or receive hand-me-downs from relatives. The closer I've been to a designer label was standing outside the shop window waiting for the bus. On Thursday I was burning to show off your beautiful bag, so I took it to work. To my surprise, when she saw me my snotty colleague smiled and said: "Eventually you've got yourself a nice designer piece!". When I understood she'd mistaken your bag for one of the label Desigual - which is very popular around here now - I couldn't stop grinning all day. So be proud of yourself! With all your flaws and everything, you served my obnoxious colleague well AND you made me look wonderful. THANK YOU!!!!
Obviously I love everyting else you sent me, especially the envelopes and the cards... I'm so jealous, that's exactly the kind of item I usually come up with! I already took one of the envelopes apart to study your technique. Don't worry, I'm going to glue it together again when I'm done! Tongue
Again, thank you SO SO SO much. It was lovely swapping with you, I promise I'll make up for all the awesomeness you've sent me next time we're partnered for a swap! ^____^

Mary you're so kind. I love your story! We all know people like that and it's nice to get one over on them!
And the envelopes aren't an original idea just 'google' envelope liners.
It would be a pleasure to swap with you again.
