I found this old baby doll style tank top when I was cleaning out my closet, and figured out that i wanted to make it into a skirt. Instead of cutting and sewing I just tucked it in and added a belt. Viola instant skirt! I feel kind of silly making a tutorial since its so simple but here it is!

Find a shirt with an elastic empire waist, preferably a tank top with thin straps.
Pull the band of the shirt down to where you want your skirt to sit
Tuck in the straps and cups
Add a belt to hide any bulk
