Description

ever wonder how to make those curly ribbons for hair? now you know

Instructions

  1. Small img01724 20110614 0912 1313430505

    gather supplies

  2. Small img01725 20110614 0912 1313430532

wrap ribbons around the dowel and hold ends together with wooden clothes pins (wooden is a MUST as you will be putting these in the oven and we don't want a fire)

  3. Small img01726 20110614 1018 1313430607

put all your rods of ribbon onto a metal cookie sheet. i put foil on my sheet because i also use it for food and didn't want toe food smells to get on the ribbon, or the ribbons to get dirty. preheat oven at a low setting, around 225-250 degrees and put cookie sheet in oven for 25-30 minutes

  4. Small img01727 20110614 1018 1313430718

take off clothes pins and slowly unwind the ribbon from the dowel rod

  5. Small img01728 20110614 1030 1313430767

you'll have a bunch of these. how fun!

  6. Small img01730 20110614 1047 1313430815

cut the ribbons to the size you want the finished product to be (tip, using clear nail polish on the ends will keep ribbons from fraying)

  7. Small img01794 20110621 1151 1313430884

bunch the ribbons however you want the bow to look and secure using thread or fishing line, tie up, and add the clip of your choice
