Description

An easy autumn-themed craft for children to make for the nature table. It can be easily adapted to other themes.

Instructions

  1. Small leaves  20supplies

    Gather supplies. Birch bark should be collected from the ground or firewood, not from a living tree. Thicker pieces of bark are needed.

  2. Small leaves  20separating 20birch 20bark

    Cut out desired leaf shapes from the birch bark. Depending on the thickness of the bark, you may be able to separate one cut into multiple leaves. Be careful to not separate them too thinly.

  3. Small leaves  20colouring

    With the moistened watercolour pencils, colour the leaves in as desired.

    The edges of the leaves can also be embroidered.

    And if desired, the whole thing can be turned into a garland.
