How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I had just started sewing with felt when I found CO+K while I was looking for patterns. It was a felt camera case project that led me here. I'd bookmarked CO+K and found that I was returning more and more to look at the different projects so I joined.

What projects are you currently working on?

I'm terrible at finishing things and must have at least four half done embroideries on the go and a couple of crocheted blankets. I've recently purchased some porcelain pens to decorate some mugs so that is what I'll be starting next.

What does your craft space look like?

I don't have a craft space but I have sort of claimed the landing as a place to keep my craft supplies. My husband made me a shelf unit and I also use an old chest of drawers for storage. Stuff still tends to leak out around the house though. Any knitting, sewing, etc that I'm working on is kept in a wicker picnic basket downstairs.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

Sewing needles for embroidery and sewing in ends of knitting and crocheting.

What do you craft along to?

The music usually playing is Metallica, Kings Of The Leon, Rob Zombie, that kind of thing. Otherwise just whenever happens to be on the telly for background noise.

Favorite Craft

Machine sewing. My Mum used to let me cut up old clothes and play on hers when I was young. I worked in clothes manufacturing for over 10 years straight from school then when my boys were babies, worked from home making costumes for a local fancy dress shop. The things I make using my machine varies from clothes for my little girl and her dolls, to bags, soft toys, pillows and curtains.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I'd like to try paper cutting. Some of the paper cut book art I've seen is amazing.

Who are your crafting heroes?

A few my favourite crafters are Aimee Ray and Jenny Hart whose embroidery I love, Twinkie Chan for her fun foodie crocheting and Shelly of Gingermelon Dolls for her cute felt creations.
